NMSU Domenici books honored at 2010 New Mexico Book Awards

“Not Just New Mexico’s Senator,” written by Martin J. Janowski, won best political book at the 2010 New Mexico Book Awards. “Senator Pete Domenici’s Legacy; The Proceedings from the 2009 Pete V. Domenici Public Policy Conference,” edited by Vicki Taggart, was a finalist in the same category. Both books were published in collaboration with Rio Grande Books and New Mexico State University’s Domenici Institute. Read more…

NMSU recognizes faculty during 2011 Spring Convocation

New Mexico State University welcomed faculty and staff back to campus today during the 2011 Spring Convocation ceremony held at NMSU’s Atkinson Music Recital Hall. NMSU Regents elect officers, present Above & Beyond Award

New Mexico State University Regent Laura Conniff (College of Business alumna, ’74) was elected to serve as chair of the Board of Regents at a regular meeting of the board. The five-member board also includes Regent Mike Cheney (’85), also newly seated, who is the regional bank president in southern New Mexico for Wells Fargo Bank. Read more…

NMSU Regents appointees confirmed by New Mexico Senate

The New Mexico Senate confirmed New Mexico State University Board of Regents appointees Mike Cheney and Christopher Dulany. Cheney and Dulany were appointed to the board by Gov. Susana Martinez. Cheney, who was born and raised in Hobbs, N.M., received a bachelor’s degree in finance from NMSU in 1985 and has attended the Western States School of Banking and Northwest College of Credit. Dulany, who will serve as the student regent on the board, is a graduate student pursing a master’s degree in business with an emphasis in finance. Read more + Video.
